Three resources for this Stage. Download them in order.

1. THE SPHERE TOOLKIT (WP2 EXCERPT)
The full Toolkit is the SPHERE consortium’s central resource document, produced under WP2 (lead: European Astronaut Centre / EA). Here we hand you the Stage 3 excerpt — the section on First-Tutor-Meeting protocols. It covers: how to set up the space (physical or virtual), how to open the conversation, how to listen for what is not being said, and how to close without leaving the student feeling exposed. Tutors will have read the full Toolkit in their PD-03 training. You read this excerpt to know what to expect from a well-prepared Tutor.

2. THE TUTOR HANDBOOK (EXCERPT)
The Handbook is the Tutor’s working document — checklists, prompts, ethical guidelines for working with minors. We hand you the student-facing excerpt: the four pages that describe what the Tutor commits to do for you, and what they will not do (e.g., they will not share your private form contents with school administration; they will not record video; they will not pressure you toward a specific career). Read it. Hold the Tutor accountable to it.

3. GDPR CONSENT TEMPLATE (5 LANGUAGES)
A formal consent form for the audio recording of your first Tutor meeting (and any subsequent meeting you choose to record). The form is GDPR-compliant in all five SPHERE-country regimes. It includes: purpose of recording, who has access, retention period (until you delete it or 12 months after Stage 12, whichever comes first), and your unconditional right to revoke consent at any time. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country (PT 13+, AT 14+, EL 15+, DE 16+, PL 13+), the form includes a section for parental countersignature.

These three documents make the relationship safe. Safety is not a luxury. Safety is what makes truthfulness possible.
📋 Download all three. Sign the GDPR consent template (with parental countersignature if required by your country) before the first Tutor meeting.
